Ms Pandey holds Masters’ Degree in Environmental Science with specialization on mountain environment. Her major area of professional interest is to work on Environment, Climate change and natural resources related issue and spread the knowledge and technical possibilities for sustainable management and utilization of natural resource for economic prosperity and conservation of environment for future generation and mainstream the issues of Climate Change in national policy process. Her Passion on environment, Climate change, had brought her to articipate on many training related to climate change such as Green House Gas Inventory and Mitigation Modelling training organised by Ministry of Environment Korea, GHG Inventory and Research Centre (GIR). She is the climate reality leader trained by Algore. In her professional carrier, she has worked on Policy advocacy on different issues and agenda. She has been involved for contributing for sustainable natural resource management by capacity building of local actors and advocating on forest policy from community to central level. As a development professional, she was involved with National level Network organization of Federation of Community Forest User Group of Nepal (FECOFUN); and provided her professional support for fostering the governance practice and advocating on people’s rights over resources. Currently she is associated with KIRDARC Nepal, for promoting the livelihood of marginalized people of Karnali region (a remote region of Nepal). She is working for institutionalizing the advocacy practices for promoting governance in local natural resource management; and also supporting for capacity building of local actors on advocacy and knowledge management work.
